Blind/Visually Impaired


Collaborating with area districts to identify students (birth - 21) with significant visual impairments in order to address the educational needs of the student.


Services by Teacher of the Blind/Visually Impaired:

  • Obtaining and reviewing medical eye reports.
  • Assessment.
  • Provide direct/indirect service.
  • Make the learning environment accessible.
  • Educating the team about the student's needs.
  • Attend vision appointments when requested. Refer transition age student (14 +) to State Services for the Blind.
